Hi! I’m Kelly, thanks for checking out my website. I would consider myself a multi-hyphenate creative, I love to create in many different ways. For most of my adult life, I have worked in the salon industry. It’s what I have been the most passionate about, and how I have made a living.

About me!
Over the last three decades, I have progressed from a salon receptionist, to a commission-based stylist, to an independent stylist, to a booth rental salon owner! More recently, though, I have discovered that I love designing and creating in so many other ways besides just hair. I had never given myself permission to take time for myself to explore and play, until now! I have also learned that most creatives, including myself, struggle with mental health concerns in unimaginable ways. Anxiety, depression, ADHD, chronic pain, etc. Burnout is inevitable if you’re not taking care of yourself mentally and physically. You don’t realize it when you’re in the thick of it, just how badly it is affecting you. Until your body decides for you, that its had enough. What now?! I decided to create my blog: Sorry...I’m a Creative, after realizing how important community is when going through tough times. I have found writing to be very therapeutic and healing; a way to sort out my thoughts and feelings, to better understand myself. I have learned how much hearing the stories and thoughts of others in similar situations has helped me. I decided that I want to share some of my thoughts, opinions, and findings, to anyone who finds it helpful!
